AiR/Newport

AiR/Newport is an artist residency program by the Newport Art Museum supporting emerging to established visual artists and designers. Participants receive a $2,000 stipend, private studio space, and housing for 4-6 weeks. The program provides access to the Museum's collection and archives, as well as introductions to other cultural institutions in Newport and Rhode Island's universities. Beyond artistic creation, residents are expected to engage in a community activity of their choosing. The Museum actively promotes diversity and inclusion, welcoming applications from artists of all backgrounds.
