International Artist-in-Residency

The Arts Council Korea (ARKO) supports Korean artists and producers who wish to participate in internationally recognized residency programs. There are two types of residencies: the Designated Type, which provides support for participation in ARKO-partnered programs, and the Non-designated Type, which offers support for invited artists. By 2025, ARKO has established partnerships with 23 international residency organizations across various arts fields, including literature, visual arts, theater, dance, and music. This initiative aims to strengthen international collaboration and find new models of cooperation.
