Kranichstein Children's and Youth Literature Scholarships

Since 2010, the German Literature Fund has awarded four half-year stipends annually (two for young adult literature, two for children's literature since 2021) totaling 72,000 euros. The funding targets authors with convincing published works and positive literary development who have not yet established a strong market position. The stipend enables the realization of a new book project independent of market demands under financially secure conditions. Selection is made by a jury of the Working Group for Youth Literature and the Literature Fund based on literary quality.
