Music Cultures

The 'Music Cultures' program supports a network for musicians, ensembles, and event organizers to foster a vibrant scene for global music in North Rhine-Westphalia. Ensembles focusing on non-European musical traditions or representing a fusion of ethnic music with Western styles can apply for inclusion in the Music Cultures catalogue. An advisory board selects ensembles each year to be included in the current catalogue. Event organizers from member cities can apply for funding in the form of performance grants for the current Music Cultures ensembles, with subsidies of up to 50% of the fee.
