Outgoing - Scholarships for artists from Lower Austria to work abroad

Lower Austria annually awards abroad scholarships in cooperation with AIR to artists with a connection to Lower Austria. The Outgoing program enables residencies at seven international partner institutions, including the School of the Art Institute Chicago, the Djerassi Resident Artists Program, Nida Art Colony, and studios in Budapest, Örnsköldsvik, Dublin, and Melbourne. Applicants submit a concrete work project that conveys background, context, and relevance to the host institution and can apply for a maximum of two destinations. The next application round for 2027 will be announced in September 2026.
